Zaragoza - the world exhibition Expo in 2008 is calling

Zaragoza, also called Saragossa, is the capital of the Spanish-autonomous region Aragonien and the province Saragossa. Situated at the middle reaches of the river Ebro, the town is to be found about centred of the region of Aragonien. Zaragoza has to offer a nice choice of hotels, comfortable holiday apartments and summer cottages to its visitors from where every holiday day can be planned anew.

For the visitors of Zaragozas as a special centre of attraction the „Basilica del Pilar“ is one of the most important and biggest baroque churches of Spain. Just from the opposite shore of the Ebros you can have a look at the imposing Roman-Catholic church building. It is landmark of the town, however, not the only place of interest of Zaragoza.

Young and old people are attracted by the modern town with its historical city centre. This is due to the huge number of bars and restaurants. The year 2008 should turn out as quite a special year for the town and its surroundings. On the 16th of December, 2004 the world exhibition Expo was awarded in 2008 to Zaragoza.

From the 14th of June up to 14th September 2008 it will take place under the motto „water and lasting development“. In the course of this exhibition three subject pavilions were furnished, under which the biggest is the river aquarium of Europe. What inures the benefit of the visitors of Zaragoza is the road network which was enlarged for this purpose, as well as the developed airport. Thus, not only Zaragoza, but also every destination can be certainly reached fast and safe from the flat, the holiday apartment or the hotel.
