Winterberg is a treasure in the Hochsauerland whose wild, harsh beauty fascinates visitors without fail. World cups and German masteries were already delivered on the arrangements on the roundabout of the ski lift. Lifts, slopes, cross-country ski-tracks, bobsleigh runs and the St. Georg jump offer perfect winter sports possibilities.
In summer biker´s park and summer toboggan run attract. The 435-metre-long adventure backbend spans the area and offers 6 view platforms, children´s tube slide and jungle bridges. Northerly of the city you can find the nature reserve "Neuer Hagen", drawn through of marshes and heathland with a rare flora.
