Warsaw – a capital city invites

Since 1596 Warsaw is the capital city of Poland. It is also the biggest town of the country and of a huge political and cultural importance. The dreamlike holiday apartments, pensions and hotels of Warsaw are to be reached overland, by air and even on water, because the town is situated at the Vistula which is navigable. The best possibility in Warsaw to come along is to take the underground which is primary available since 1995.

The cathedral “Johanneskathedrale” in the Old Town and the royal castle of Warsaw are representing unambiguously the most imposing places of interest of the town. Both buildings were destroyed in 1944 during the Warsaw Rising and finally were rebuilt during the next years.

Even if it was not possible to restore it up to the smallest detail, nevertheless, they gleam in new old shine. However, for some years Warsaw has to offer also modern architecture, like the golden terraces.

If you would like to relax a little bit, you will find a lot of possibilities in many invested parks to take a rest and recover with new power. Also a visit in the museums and theatres of the town can affect very reassuringly. If the night has crowed the day the glimpse at illuminated Warsaw is worthwhile, in any case.
