Waidring -Charming winter sports village in the Pillersee valley

The municipality of Waidring is located in the county of Tirol adjacent to the border of Bavaria. The quiet and famous winter sports village is part of the holiday region Pillerseetal and is located directly on the foot of the „Loferer Steinberge“ on a sunny altitude of 781 m.

Tourists will find great opportunities for hiking and mountain climbing during the summer surrounded by the great mountain formations of the Kitzbuhel Alps. Approximately 850 km of demanding trails for mountain bikers change the Pillerseetal to be a meeting point for mountainbikers from all over the world.
Family friendly hotels, farms and boarding houses offer varied and exicting activities especially for children. The many lakes of the „water realm“ Pillerseetal invite for refreshing, water sports or simply to unwind after long walks.

Waidring is an often visited holiday destination during the winter. It is snow-skure ski area „Steinplatte“ and the easy access from Bavaria, Tyrol or Salzburg are good reasons for travelling to this destination even for short breaks.

The winter and ski seaons lasts from November till April. With 10 ski lifts and more than 40 km slopes the „Steinplatte“ fulfills all requirements of skiers and snowboarders. Also snow kiting, the new winter trend sport, is possible.
The small ski lift ath the Hauberg directly within the village is especially designed and well for children which can collect the first experience with snow on the winter playground „bobo“.
