Die Villa Barra liegt in sehr ruhiger Nachbarschaft . Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, wie z.B. der großer Supermarkt Publix, können zu Fuß erreicht werden. Das historische Down Town , mit seinen kleinen Geschäften, Bars, Restaurants, Kinos und Diskotheken wurde in 2008/2009 renoviert und ist ebenfalls zu Fuß in kurzer Zeit zu erreichen.

Die Villa Barra liegt nur wenige Minuten zu Fuß vom Edison und Ford Winterstate, mit seinem traumhaften botanischen Garten, entfernt - DER Attraktion von Fort Myers.
