South Central Coast - from the pass of clouds to the southern beaches

The region Nam Trung Bo, the central south coast of Viet Nam, stretches across more than five provinces. Economic centre is the seaport Da Nang. It is located at the South-Chinese Sea. Beside the cathedral the world-renowned Cham museum counts to the most important places of interest of the colonial Old Town.

Southerly of Nang Da lonesome sandy beaches span miles long which would are opened up only hesitant. In the small coastal places individualists find lodgings in common motels or company houses. International hotels have been made available in touristy opened places or bigger towns.

Destinations southerly of Da Nang are the weird marble mountains and the city Hoi Anh with ritual Chinese meeting houses, Japanese bridges and traditional houses count to the world cultural heritage.

Between Dan Nang and the northern former capital Hue you find the 20-km-long pass of clouds  which grants - from its highest point - a fantastic view up to the sea. One of the most interesting destinations of the central south coast is Hue.

Especially remarkably is the hearty hospitality of the inhabitants of the town at the perfume river. Numerous wonderful buildings, magnificent tombs of different Vietnamese emperors and the fortress with the forbidden town underline the museum character of the place which is surrounded by enchanting sceneries.
