Upper Palatinate (Oberpfalz) - perfekt holiday in bavaria

Upper Palatinate is a patchwork vacation destination consisting of the Bavarian Forest, the Upper Palatinate Forest, the Stone Forest, the Waldnaab, Naabtal and Vilstal regions and the Upper Palatinate Jurassic mountains.

In the Upper Palatinate Forest you can spend the night and count sheep in pensions starting at  €19 per day. Vacation in Upper Palatinate is a living vacation in an unstrained environment. You can enjoy the good sides of human existence and meeting friendly locals while testing a delicious beer at the Zoigl Brewery. Many people also treat themselves to the Gourmet Package at the Zoiglstuben consisting of the Vesper, a meal consisting of bread, cold cuts and cheese, and beer.

Cold sweet soups of hops can be enjoyed in Neumarkt or you can inspect the brewery museum in Schlossmarkt. The historic city with a medieval city center invites its visitors to extensive window shopping.

If you would rather take a more sturdy walk, you can get a panorama hiking map at the tourist information. During “Summer in the Park” you can see the Jura city in its Sunday best, child-friendly caprioles are offered in the afternoon for tots & co. The Summer Night Ball in the arena at the end of July is romantic and lets hearts waltz. In idyllic Neumarkt, you can also spend a low price night – there are many moderately priced lodgings.

For those of you who know what a green fee is, golf in Fürth is highly recommended, and you will not just be fishing for compliments in Schmidgaden and in the Tischenreuth District, where fishing is still a quiet affair.
