Triesenberg is a rambling, well known vacation spot with many hamlets in Liechtenstein and has a population of about 2,600. Its community area stretches from 800 – 2000 meters above sea level and impresses with its diverse alpine landscape with valleys, lakes and forests. The churches in the districts of Triesenberg are especially worth a visit. The eye catcher of the St. Josef parish church, an onion spire, rises high above the roofs of the village. The city hall next to the church is also worth seeing. The historic former rectory was built in the year 1768.

The best known religious building in Triestenberg was built in the year 1300 and stands on the Masecha which is known as the first settlement in the Walser Alp Region. In the Walser Museum of Local History shows the culture and traditions of the mountain people.
The Friedrich Church of 1951 in Malbun is evidence of modern religious architecture. It features valuable mosaics.
Malbun, a popular winter sport region in Liechtenstein, lies at 1600 meters above sea level. In Steg, in the Samina Valley, hikers will find beautiful routes all year round. In winter kilometer long cross-country skiing runs stretch across the valley and families can cavort on the long sled run.
