Tramin - Relax between water and wine

Right next to the Kalterer Lake, directly on the South Tyrolean Wine Route lies the village of Tramin with a population of 3100. An aromatic, light and sweet wine helped this town to worldwide esteem.
The famous "Gewürztraminer" can be tasted at many wineries. Every week, there are wine fests and the vineyards invite you to tours.

If you spend your vacation in Tramin in a vacation apartment or hotel, you should definitely visit the village museum just below the Town Hall Square. There you will find a lot of things worth knowing about the life of the farmers in the region and about winegrowing, which is closely connected to the people of this town.

Tramin’s landmark is the 86 meter high steeple of the St. Quirikus and Julitta parish church which is known as the highest brick steeple in Tyrol. The Romanesque St. Jakob church with the oldest frescos in the German language area is also worth seeing.

Grand farms, winding streets, romantic fountains all surrounded by vineyards and fruit plantations, give this town a distinctive Mediterranean charm. Water friends will be in their element at Kalterer Lake or in Tramin’s water park with a whirlpool, waterfall and counter current facility. 80 kilometers of hiking routes are available to active vacationers. Mountain hikers can try to conquer the 2116 meter high Roen Mountain.
