Torrevieja – vacation at the old tower

Spain as a holiday destination is well known. Nevertheless, a really special little spot earth is the town Torrevieja what translates means something like „the Old Tower“. The name originated when the place around an old tower increased more and more, until it became what it is today.

To rent a hotel or also a modern furnished holiday apartment in Torrevieja guarantees a vacation by the sea, but also in front of the scenery of a nice town which has to offer a lot to its visitors. The picturesque location of the place in a wide level, embedded between lagoons makes it to an unforgettable holiday place. Of course a good meal and a good wine simply belong to Torrevieja, like everywhere in Valencia.

Every single one the different beaches are inviting and in combination with the good weather and the warm sea water they are a guarantor for happy fun in the bath, which you can enjoy with the whole family, as a travel group, but also as a single person or pair.

Importantly in Torrevieja always is the salt production. In no case you may forget to visit the two salt lagoons or the salt-mines which are virtually like landmarks for the development of the today´s wealth of Torrevieja.

The Moorish tower and the tower of La Mata, but also the sea- and the salt-museum may not be absent on the list of the places of interest which you visit if you spend your vacation at the hotel or in the holiday apartment in Torrevieja.
