The state of Texas boasts with an innumerous amount of cities and attractions as well as distinct regions which will take away your breath. First and foremost, there is the stunning city and Texas state capital of Austin with its lush riverside parks.

There are many positive surprises for everyone who visits there, but one will certainly be the “Cathedral of Junk” which juts out of someone´s garden. Dallas, however, is the common image which most of the people have on their mind when they think of Texas. The choice of hotels, summer residences or holiday flats is just incredible in Dallas and in the entire state.

Another, rather less familiar side of the state is its ocean playground on the Gulf Coast, with great beach resorts. There is the Houston Shipping Channel, a major shipping seaport in Houston that reaches to the Gulf of Mexico, only 50 miles away. San Antonio is one of Texas´s most well-known historic regions and is very beautiful. The Texas Prison Museum in Huntsville will probably give you the heebie-jeebies.

As a matter of fact, Texas has the incredible amount of 115 prisons and 6 of them are in Huntsville. Don´t miss the opportunity to discover the mysteries of China in the “Forbidden Gardens” right in Katy. This miniature China attracts people from all over the world and even from China itself. Very recommendable indeed are the South Texas Plains where Texas and Mexico come together.

The diversity of languages, cultures, music and cuisine will enchant you very much. In addition, this is the perfect place for bird watching. Go shopping in malls and diverse markets since there is an amazing array of merchandise. However, visit Texas and just have a good with terrific food, a great lodging selection and loads of sightseeing.
