There are few countries that arouse as many colorful associations as Spain - sun-drenched coasts, flamenco, castanets, traces of Moorish culture, the pure lust of life. Often sung about, Spain is still a great favorite when it comes to choosing a holiday destination.

Many therefore believe they know everything that is to be known about this country. But it is often enough just to change to a hotel, guesthouse, or holiday apartment in another region not yet visited and Spain is a completely different, new and unfamiliar country. A single lifetime is simply not enough to see everything this country has to offer.

Many people immediately associate Spain with the southern and southeastern coast of the country - Marbella and especially Torremolinos attract those who equate holidays with partying as well as families with children.

Costa Blanca and Costa Brava, Andalusia - these are all names that fill many people with memories of sun, romantic dinners on the beach, the taste of paella and red wine, playing in the waves and swimming in the sea. Perhaps they conjure up the picture of the Alhambra as the artistic embodiment of Moorish architecture? Perhaps the Romanic ruins of the Sant Pere de Rodes monastery situated on the cliffs and divided by a canyon? The stalactite caves near Nerja or all the small white villages so typical of the southern coast of Spain are just as impressive.

And the regions of Spain so often visited by tourists are always good for a surprise. Even after several visits, one is drawn to a nice hotel or holiday apartment to take a break and relax. Or you can go to other, lesser-known regions that are perhaps not as striking, but nonetheless just as effective. An example is the so-called ′green′ Spain on the northern coast of the country, where sea and mountains find a peaceful coexistence, where the landscape is dominated by fine sandy beaches as well as beech and oak forests, mountain peaks, and meadows.

Or perhaps Aragon on the border to France, with the highest mountains in the Pyrenees? And of course there are the cities of Spain, Madrid, for example, or Barcelona. Spain has many faces … and they′re all beautiful.

What would you like? A former watermill in southern Andalusia? A holiday home in the Pyrenees at over 1000 meters? Typical for Spain are the so-called fincas, Spanish country homes that are often used as holiday homes. No matter what your wishes are, you can find what you need - holiday homes for two, four, or six persons, houses where pets are welcome, houses with a hot tub and sauna near the sea or a ski area.

Spain is the right choice for winter sport enthusiasts too. The houses’ furnishings are generally good to very good - often use of a shared pool or even private pool is included.
