The Ruppin country - a paradise for nature lovers

A holiday in the Ruppin country leads the visitors to the large of lake region of Brandenburg, a rural natural paradise with woods, big fields and only few, but interesting provincial towns. The enchanting, unaffected seeming Ruppin is situated between the cities Oranienburg, Neustadt and Fürstenberg and adjoins among to other things to the Mecklenburg lake-district.

The wonderful countryside of the region can be discovered overland and by the water. Canoe or boat tours, jaunty days on a houseboat or expanding bicycle- and hiking tours with overnight stay at a hotel or a pension on the route belong to a vacation in the Ruppin country.

On the excursions you can find wonderful castles and manors - like castle Schloss Oranienburg or the baroque residence Rheinsberg - and medieval city centres. A huge number of cultural events, galleries and museums invite for staying.
