Rhode Island – holidays in the "Ocean-State"

Rhode Island is the, gazing at its area, the most small-sized state of the United States of America. It is situated in the east of the country and in the south owns a long coastal stripe at the Atlantic. In the west and the north the federal state Massachusetts adjoins, in the east Connecticut is located.

Almost every town of the federal state offers lodging possibilities in the form of holiday apartments, flats, motels or hotels. The certainly biggest localisations are found in Providence, the capital of Rhode Island. But also other towns like Warwick, Cranston, Woonsocket or Newport take pleasure to big popularity. In the south wonderful beaches are found on the coast of the Atlantic.

Here you can enjoy long walks or on the terrace of a bar you just be affected by the charming coastal scenery. Everywhere in Rhode Island small lakes, green parks, golf clubs and a very well developed road network are found and makes a smooth connection to every corner of the state possible.

A worthwhile destination is „Block Island “, situated in the nearby Atlantic Ocean. In spite of the lasting inrush of tourists which arrive mostly by ferry of the mainland this Island has kept its old charm. Certainly you can find exclusive apartments, holiday flats, motels and hotels.

The island is a real paradise for derelict divers, because there are some ships on the shoal ocean bed. Under it even the German submarine U853.
