Shopping fans will surely be enthused by Potsdam’s shopping mile. The former Klement-Gottwald-Street however has a more historical character today. The famous Brandenburger Street is gentlemanly called „Broadway“ of Potsdam. Today, the “Broadway” is more of a promenade for Potsdam’s natives and tourists, who would like to see the city of Potsdam while strolling comfortably along this street.  

The luscious greenery also attracts vacation guests to Potsdam. The New Orangerie, the wintering grounds for the exotic plants of the park, is over 300 meters long and was built from 1851 to 1864. The New Orangerie used to be the guest palace of King Friedrich Wilhelm IV.

From the Film hotel to classic hotels with a high, representative standard, everything can be found to make guests feel at home. The Pump House, a “mosque“in the middle of Potsdam, marks a religious confrontation.

The sea calms troubled souls. On the shores of the Havel bay in Neustadt, the shell shaped terrace restaurant "Seerose“ is an incentive for garden loving vacationers.
