Region Labin-Rabac, Istria

Region of Labin-Rabac – a pearl in the Kvaerner Bay

Overlooking the bay of Rabac in Istria / Croatia

Rabac and Labin are two small towns in the eastern side of Istria, directly at the Kvaerner Bay. Now every visitor is spoilt for choice between a holiday apartment, a pension or a hotel in one or the other place.  To many of its visitors Labin gives an ancient and mysterious impression.

Experts mean to see the undercover cultural capital of Istria. Particularly the wonderful Old Town of Labin should be explored and roamed within a walk. Since the end of the 19th century Rabac is a very popular resort. The first really known visitor of Rabac was the English travel author "Richard Francis Burton".

In 1876 he spent some time in the town and after a further trip through this region he wrote the book „Istrische Küste“(the coast of Istria). This is only to be recommended here, because in this book the old Burton glorifies the beauty and the charm of the, as he says, picturesque Rabac, wherewith he is also completely right.

The Mediterranean scenery arouses the desire for movement and adventures. If you would like to go about it a little more quietly you could undertake a beach walk and explore, besides, the „small animal world“ of the surroundings. A holiday apartment or a hotel in the region of Labin-Rabac holds countless possibilities ready to spend your holiday active or as well also calmly.
