The province of Hebei is situated in the north-east of China and adjoins the Yellow Sea. Within this region you find the self-managed town provinces of Tianjing and the capital Beijing. Southwesterly you find the provincial centre Shijiazuhang. Hebei cashes in on the nearness to the capital and is one of the few regions of China which were equipped with a very close street- and railroad network.
While in the northern and eastern areas of the province you find the mountains of Tanhaig Shan and Yan Shan, the biggest field of Hebeis is located in the area of the big North-Chinese section, where intensive agriculture is pursued.
