Regensburg – The town of the four rivers

Regensburg is a town in east Bavaria - more exactly it is situated at the most northern point of the Danube. With more than 6,000 listed buildings the completely preserved, historical city centre of Regensburg disposes, of the most ones in Europe. Since the 13th of July, 2006 the Old Town ensemble of Regensburg belongs to the UNESCO world heritage.

Six years before the Old Town was reconstructed in the course of the "Expo 2000". Besides, new attractive holiday apartments and hotels also grew up in the town. Beside the Danube Regensburg can still come up with three other rivers. Regen, Naab and Laaber are known for its clean water. A day trip can lend itself to or on one of the rivers. There are enough possibilities to borrow a bicycle or a canoe.
