Portugal is a European country on the southwest Iberian Peninsula and an elegant vacation country which is perfect for individualists.
It is tangent to the Atlantic Ocean in the west and the south, and to Spain in the geographical north. In the capital Lisbon you can make yourself comfortable with fado and guitar music, go shopping in noble boutiques or get to know the open-air cafes on the coast and enjoy a Portuguese coffee or a freshly squeezed orange juice typical of the country.

The cafes are willingly visited by artists and authors regardless of the weather – even in winter. Usually your relaxation is accompanied by jazz music or oldies and by the white spray of the waves.

Portugal is a fascinating country with manifold vacation possibilities. The touristically undeveloped interior of central and north Portugal is very attractive and enchants with its original character and headstrong charm. If you prefer an absolute beach vacation, chose the Algarve with its crystal clear water. The Portuguese are quiet, Latin contemporaries who are discreet, polite and hospitable. The Algarve is suitable for sun worshipers who are happy with a minimum of beach space. 

Portugal’s beaches are known for their generosity, especially in the north. If you love outdoor sports, try jogging on the beach. You can spend the night in beautiful hotels or vacation centers near the yacht harbor or at the foot of the pine forests. Many offer pools or sporting possibilities such as golf, scuba diving, hiking, biking, tennis or soccer.
