Piedmont - a secret

Piemont lies in the northwest of Italy and, opposed to the other Italian vacation regions, is still considerably untouched by tourism. For this reason, the region is known as an insider tip which is particularly visited by people who love solitude and with that, peace and quiet far away from mass tourism.

If you wish to spend your vacation here, you will find an appropriate hotel, motel or vacation apartment and will not have to spend the night on the street. Many hiking routes lead through the unique landscape past Maggiore Lake which draws many bathers.

The vicinity of Stresa is a welcome excursion destination during any season and in the blink of an eye, the cable car can take you to the middle of the Alps. In the national park at the foot of the Po, the flora and fauna offer a unique biodiversity. What more could you wish for? 

Here in Piemont skiing is also excellent in winter. Winter athletes will find a region here which is sure to have snow all the way until April and has skiing routes in diverse levels of difficulty. 

This region is really only appropriate for people who would like to spend their vacation in seclusion, and quiet and would like to relax. If you are looking for action, this is the wrong place.
