Pfalz, Rheinland-Palatinate

 

Pfälzer liver sausage, vespers, full-bodied wine and sociable natives mark the palatinate as vacation-region. Forest, meadows and fertile fields lure vacation-guests from the feathers to a reconnaissance-tour already early. Valleys in total isolation surprise with densely seeded cowslip-meadows and rare orchid-kinds.

The Donnersbergkreis with the railway station of Alsenz is the perfect starting point for hikes and a visit of the cosy grill-cottages. Whoever likes it more athletically swings on the boneshaker and bicycles from wine-grower to wine-grower or grants himself a cool blond. Also newly brewed beer flows in the palatinate from Episcopal sources. In the visitor-mine "Weiße Grube“(white pit) in Imsbach one may feed educational-hunger and recover.

The rural district Dürkheim offers   the castle Altleiningen and the Hambacher palace. The magnificent constructions are used as youth-inns, museum and exceptional convention-place.

The nature-park Pfälzer forest is an extensive fresh-air-oasis. Here, the soul can breathe a sigh of relief and can fill up strength. Even mediterranic flair is to be sensed in the palatinate. Deidesheim is virtually spoiled by southern climate. Kiwis, lemons, cactus and figs thrive here splendidly. If one wants to go shopping in the city again stylishly once, then Kaiserslautern is Pfälzer hospitality and high service sets the quintessence.
