Peru - The Country of the Incas

Peru – the country of the Incas, mystic and exotic. The center of Incan culture used to be here in Peru. Their culture is still very present today, especially in Cusco and Machu Picchu. Archaeology lovers will get their money’s worth here.

There is much to do in Peru, no matter if hiking, rock climbing, bird watching or trekking. The amount of attractions is not to be beat. Further south in Peru, visitors are overwhelmed by the volcanic panorama. Here in Arequipa, is also the starting point of the many rafting rivers. The old remains site, Huari, is not far away from Ayacucho.

Pure nature, culture and sports, this is what Peru has to offer. There are more than enough hotels and pensions. For individualists, an apartment or vacation home is especially recommended, as their daily routine is more irregular than that of guests traveling in a group and staying in hotels.

Besides that, individualists usually wish to be independent and determine their routine themselves. Latin America especially invites you to do things on your own. This way, you will find more contact to the natives. And if you even speak Spanish, you will have a clear advantage.
