Pamplona

Pamplona is located directly at the river Agra in the region Navarra. A holiday full of Spanish tradition and modernity begins after having arrived at your hotel or your holiday house.

Start your walking tour through the city of Pamplona at the Plaza Consistorial. Here you find the town hall with its magnificent baroque façade, the church San Saturnino or the old audit court. Also a walk alongside the Bridge of La Magdalena, the Franconian gate or the Plaza de Toros de Pamplona is a must-do for every visitor.

You stroll through the museums after a good breakfast at your hotel. The Museum of Navarra is directly located at the Cuesta de Santo Domingo. The mausoleum of Carl III is located in the nave of the cathedral Santa María la Real.

Pamplona is well-known over the world fort he celebration called „Sanfermines“ . It is taking place yearly in July honouring the patron saint – Firmin the older from Amiens. Besides the procession mainly the bull fights are well known. Bull runs start every morning through the city to the bullfight arena.

The way of St. James – an ancient pilgrimage rout from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port to Santiago de Compostela – passes through Pamplona. The convent and the pilgrim´s hospital are important points of interest for many pilgrims from all over the world.

You should allow yourself a culinary excursion leading to the delicacies of the country before your holiday in Pamplona ends.  Pamper your roof of the mouth and you surely will not  forget your time in the region Navarra too fast.
