Nevada is one of the most famous states in the USA, but thinking of Las Vegas does not exactly provide the idea of a vacation with the family. However, even kids are cared for very well in the holiday resorts and the provided activities are just great. Nevada and especially the city of Las Vegas is the focal point of tourism in the entire region.

Get seized by the omnipresent gold-fever and experience the magic which that place exudes day and night. As a matter of fact, the nightlife and the appending casinos beat the pants off every metropolis in the world. Besides that, there are plenty of scenic places like the widely spread ghost towns which used to be prosperous mining areas.

Very recommendable as well are the places around Lake Tahoe and the Boulder Canyon. It certainly won´t be difficult to find a room in one of Nevada´s luxury hotels, but anyway there are accommodations in every price range. From the top class vacation rentals to extremely cheap motels and hostels, there is something for everyone.

The weather conditions are perfect for outdoor activities like golf, swimming, fishing, boating, hiking, riding or hunting. There are facilities for skiing in the region around Reno and Lake Tahoe. If you decide to leave Sin City for a day or two, we recommend the Lake Mead National Recreation Area which has a very good reputation throughout the United States.

In addition, Las Vegas is a true shopping paradise, hosting many conferences and is a meeting point for all sorts of stars. Therefore it is not unlikely that you might encounter the one or the other famous face in Nevada.
