The State of Nebraska – more than corn dogs and the Dorothy-Lynch-dressing

The State of Nebraska is located in the mid of the Great Plains and in the Middle West of the USA. The name of the state represents „low water“. It was derived from the name of the „Platte River“  which criss-crosses Nebraska. The cognomen „corn to husk“ is used due to the cultivation of maize.

The hotels and boarding houses in Nebraska are reserved both for a weekend trip and for longer holidays who want to view this magnificent country during their holiday. Special attractions are the Agate Fossil Beds National Monument - a store area of fossils or the Scotts Bluff National Monument.

Whoever books his hotel in Lincoln, will be greeted by the Nebraska State Capital even when being far away. You can find the largest collection of mammal fossils in the University of Nebraska State Museum. The Frank H. Woods Telephone Pioneer Museum, the Sheldon Museum of Art or the Great Plains Art Collection are well worth a visit. You will also make the little ones of your family happy with a visit to the Folsom Children´s Zoo.

Everyone traveling to Nebraska should unconditionally taste the local food. Corn dogs are for example hot dogs which have been fried in a maize bread crust. The typical Dorothy-Lynch dressing is served nowhere else.

The people of the state of Nebraska are very hospitable and will make your holiday in the USA to be an unforgettable experience.
