Holiday dreams in the fruit paradise

The community of Naturns in the south Tyrolean Vinschgau lies between the Sonnenberg and Norderberg mountains. Rich fruit plantations surround this climatic spa especially pampered by a mild climate. Here you will find everything for a relaxing vacation, historic landmarks and modern vacation apartments.

The newly built and unique water park offers a sauna landscape, water slides, children’s pools and whirlpools. And new biking routes were made for natives as well as for guests. There are three selective nature trails which convey insights of the symbiosis of the flora and fauna here to people interested.

Tourists are pampered with culinary specialties in the historic „Zum Adler“, „Weisses Rossl“ and „Zur Rose“ inns. 

But the most visited destination in Naturns is the patriarchal, small church Holy Prokulus.  Its famous early medieval frescos are considered the oldest in the German language area of today. The murals were laid open in 1912 and the layer of Gothic frescos removed can be seen together with grave findings in the archeological exhibit in the Naturns city hall.

Furthermore, you should visit the Holy Zeno parish church. This house of God was built in the years 1474/75; almost 300 years later, the steeple received an onion spire. 
Since 2005, the new Vinschgau railway, which connects Meran with Mals is in operation again and also stops in Naturns.
