To experience a sea paradise very closely

If you are an ardent traveller or passionate walker, you should not avoid to hike through the marvellous lakes at Naturpark Lauenburgische Seen. Forty lakes nestle to a scenery of dreamy woods, snuggle up almost to the nature and invite the holiday guest to experience a new daily spectacle of a special kind of nature up from the quiet holiday apartment.

A miraculous vacation between home animals, vast woods and friendly gastronomy work on the visitor, and in these holidays the flat or hotel of the choice will only be a secondary stopover. The bed as a comfortable rest station after the refreshing wandering and the superior food as a strengthening for the next experience. More than 470 kilometres the wooded area extends, and is therefore the third-biggest nature reserve in Schleswig - Holstein.

The biggest lakes, the lakes Ratzeburger See and the Schaalsee are connected with each other by the so-called canal Schalsee-Kanal, which begins at Salem.

Whether the nature-hooked guest rents the summer cottage or the pension in the district town Ratzeburg or rather chose a rural hotel as starting point and goal of wanderings is just a matter of taste. A detour to the water divide between the North Sea and the Baltic Sea may of course not be missing while the visit of the nature reserve.
