Montenegro – cliffy coasts, romantic bays and rough mountains

This country which is independent as of 3rd June, 2006, and therefore a very young state can be found in the southeastern part of Europe. With a number of residents of merely a half million people and an area of approximately 13,800 square kilometers Montenegro is belonging to the smallest countries of the European Union. After the so called Balkanwar in the nineties of the past century tourists are able to travel to this small country at the Adriatic Sea.

Due to the friendliness of the inhabitants to guests and the beauty of this country, Montenegro has developped as a favored touristic destination as it has been before the above mentioned war. Nowadays one can find hotels, pensions and vacation  homes again which don't leave any wish unfulfilled. Two international airports in Podgorica and Tivat are catering for a  trouble-free journey.

Having initially reached Montenegro, there are places of excursions and possibilities for activities in unlimited number and variations. If Montenegro is translated word for word, it means „black mountain“.

There are reasons for that. In the Northeast of the country the visitor can find the highest elevations, which have their peak with the 2,534 meter high Zla Kolata. Everyone who is seeking recreation it would be suitable to book a hotel, pension or a vacation flat at the cliffy gradient coast of the Adriatic Sea which has many bays.

Here it is feasible to detect untouched and undevelopped romantic beaches.
