Minneapolis –An exciting city at the Mississippi

The city with the largest population in the US state of Minnesota is part of the so called metropol region „Twin Cities“: Minneapolis and St. Paul. The city is -together with Saint Paul -- a well-sought after destination for tourists from all over the World

Thereby also US citizens are attracted by the boarding houses in Minneapolis, last but not least due to the world-famous „Mall of America“. This largest shopping mall of the USA is located in the district of Bloomington and is a real experience. However the hotels in Minneapolis are also very popular due to the fact that they are the perfect origin for starting an exploration tour in the „country of the 10,000 lakes“. Within  the city borders alone there are already 22 lakes and more than 100 parks. An idyllic landscape scenery amidst the metropolis. The Minnehaha Park with its 16m tall water fountain is especially popular.

 

 

Whereas you have to drive to the country starting from many other larger cities in order to experience the nature this is possible within the centre of the city - here in Minneapolis. You can swim, fish, run as well as bike here.
Friends of art are enthusiastic about the many museums as well as the famous Minneapolis Sculpture Garden one of the largest of America.

The Riverfront district has especially to be recommended where also some of the most beautiful hotels of Minneapolis are located.
Who does not know them from the old movies, those paddle wheel ships, which ship along the mighty Mississippi? A tour with such a ship offers an especially beautiful view on the skyline of Minneapolis, the green metropolis.
