Memphis, Tennessee – hometown of the King of Rock'n'roll

Memphis is in the extreme southwest of the US federal state Tennessee. The world-famous stream Mississippi curls all over the east shore of the metropolis. A small specific feature of the geographical situation is that Memphis is situated at the so-called 3-state corner. Here the federal states of Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee adjoin.

In the town the most different accommodation possibilities are coming up. From a small room at a hotel or motel up to the spacious flat or holiday apartment - everything is present for the whole family. If you do not only wander Memphis by a trip straight through the states and would reach the town directly, you are well-advised by „Memphis Internationally Airport”.

First of all arrived in a holiday apartment, a motel or hotel in Memphis, you have different possibilities. Very interesting is a journey along the Mississippi by one of the classical paddle wheel steamer. Moreover, in Memphis you can find the only museum of the USA which deals exclusively with the subject of the civil rights movement.

Among the rest, in the "National Civil Rights Museum" the visitor finds out information of Martin Luther King which was shot on the 4th of April, 1968 on the balcony of the today's museum.

Fans of "King of Rock’n'roll" will not visit Memphis for nothing. Elvis Presley lived in the town and resided in the villa "Graceland" which today is open for all visitors.
