Manchester, England – The old centre of the world industry

Completely in the northwest of England you find the metropolis Manchester which directly competes about the unofficial title „the second-most important city of Great Britain“. No wonder that year after year it allures crowds of tourists to this amusing town. Hence, it is of course far from it that the choice of nice holiday apartments, flats and hotels of all classes is more than enough.

The roots of Manchester dates back until the time of the Romans when these established a fort of the today`s city limit. Of course they could not stay forever in England, so that the Anglo-Saxons settled down in the confluence of the Irwell and the Medlock in the 7th century. At that time they called the place Marmeceaster.

Today the town is an important cultural centre. While visiting the museum you do not need to regard on the money because in Manchester you have a free the entry into every museum. Beside the architectural advantages this metropolis also attracts with an extremely active nightlife.

Also the shopping possibilities meet all requirements. The many cultural influences of the last years made the town to what it reflects today, a slackly and coloured world metropolis with nice multicultural influence. What can be better than dwelling some days at a hotel, a Bed & Breakfast or a holiday apartment of this town?
