Malaga, Andalusia – charming beaches brought into contact with culture and art

Malaga is the capital of the province of the same name in the Spanish region Andalusia. With over half a million inhabitants it forms the sixth largest town of Spain and is at the same time one of the most important holiday regions on the Spanish mainland. It is beyond question of course that there are in this, possibly in the 8th century, founded town, enough holiday apartments, pensions and hotels available.

With one of the biggest airports of the country it exist a very well developed tourist infrastructure. Along the Andalusian coast the miles long fine-sandy beaches will provide the suitable holiday feeling. In addition this region with its Mediterranean climate is spoilt on average with 2,800 sunshine hours in the year.

Good expectations for a holiday pleasure all along the line. If you are enthusiastic in art you should pay a visit to the birthplace of Pablo Picasso, who was born in 1881 in Malaga. At least, this man has been one of the most important artists of the 20th century.

Today in the „Museo Picasso“ which was opened on the 27th of October, 2003 in Malaga you can marvel at 204 handiworks of the famous artist. Not only the city of Malaga has to offer a lot to its visitors, also the Andalusian surroundings are worth an excursion.

No matter whether it should be a beach holiday or a small cultural trip, with a holiday apartment, a flat or a hotel in Malaga everybody has chosen the right starting point.
