Livigno - Winter fun in the Italian Alps

Livigno, a small, quiet municipality in the Italian Alps, is a well-known winter sports destination which is accessible during the whole year. It lies at a sea level of 1816 m, in the middle of a vast mountain and wood landscape which is characterised by lakes and small valleys. Particularly characteristic for this region are the many historical chapels and churches which can be found along pretty hiking trails and in clearings.

In Livigno, tourists will find numerous good middle class hotels, holiday flats and farms. Friendly hosts, the traditional cuisine and excellent winter sports conditions turn the town into one of Lombardy’s most popular holiday destinations.

The vast skiing area covers six sunny slopes and offers a total of 115 piste kilometres in all levels of difficulty in 1800 m to 3000 m hight. A snow park for boarders and many other outdoor and indoor sports facilities will also interest the younger tourists.

Guests will find year-round relaxation and tranquillity along summer and winter hiking trails. Relaxing spa offers, such as massages and relaxation classes, also contribute to the tourists’ well-being.
