In the northwest of England, in the estuary of the river Mersey you find the seaport Liverpool. The town attracts its visitors with many places of interest and a well developed net of flats, holiday apartments and hotels. If you think of Liverpool you may remember that certainty also the Beatles virtually jumped overnight into the world public in the 1960s.
Still today these four boys are a synonym for Liverpool which even became noticeable to the cultural events of the town. In 2008 Liverpool stood up to many other towns with the assignment of the title „European cultural capital“. This decision was established with the advantages of the very well restored dockland area, an almost quite perfect renovation of the city centre and the prospering art scene which can compete even with London’s.
