Mountains, beaches and wild animals - Kwa-Zulu-Natal

The province of Kwa-Zulu Natal lies in the southeast of South Africa and stretches from the Indian Ocean until the Drakensbergen. At the coast around the biggest city Durban prevails a subtropical climate. Further northward to the Drakenbergen it will be more coolly and it is not uncommon to see snow in the mountains in the winter. 
 
Beside beaches, Kwa-Zulu-Natal has to offer also some national-parks. Parks like Hluhluwe and Imfolozi admittedly belong to the smaller, but are probably not as crowded like the Kruger Park for example. The national-parks, that nature-preserve in the mountains and the coastal-region is opened up touristic very well. Hotels and Motels exist in all price ranges. 

Exactly in the national-parks, the camps offer themselves as housing. There, one sleeps in round little houses looking like cottages reminiscent that are furnished like a vacation-apartment. In the Drakensbergen, one covers at the best a hotel, motel or a vacation-apartment as basis-camp and undertakes from there trips, for example to Lesotho. 
 
In Durban, most hotels are at the boardwalk. Especially worthwhile is a visit of the Indian market and the uShaka aquarium here. How the name of the province already says, the population consists to the biggest part of Zulu. One is however able to use the English language, as all over South Africa.
