Kihei – a holiday paradise on Hawaii

Behind the name Kihei there is a small bathing resort concealed at the southwest coast of the island of Maui. This pacific holiday island is part of Hawaii which represents the 50th county of the United States of America. All over the year there is a convenient, stable tropical climate. Thereby the island is full of meteorological contrasts.

As the summit region of the Maui Volcano  is among the most rainy regions of our planet, the holiday spot Kihei, which is situated in the shade of the more than 3,000 Meter high volcano Haleakala, with only 250mm rainfall, proverbial sun-blessed. On the 1,883 square kilometers large island hotels, pensions and vacation homes for every taste can be found.

There is an outstanding infrastructure, so that the best way to explore the island is using a rented car.  This directs the visitor past green coast hillsides, fields of lava and breathtaking sand beaches. An absolute highlight is the well-known „Road to Hana“.

When driving this extremely winding route, which as approximately 50 miles long with more than 54 bridges, one can admire hundreds of waterfalls. These partly end in small romantic pools, which over and over again invite for a stop and for bathing.

A vacation flat, a motel or a hotel in Kihei is indulging the guest with a gorgeous part of the beach. This stretches out directly starting at the small community and is inviting for long, ample walks.
