Island Brac, Dalmatia
From SPLIT, BRAC, the second largest island on the Dalmatian coast, is a fifty minute ferry ride.
Vidova Gora, the highest mountain on the Island of Brac, is wooded with Austrian pines.
The small village of Splitska, surrounded by a pine forest, nestles along a creek which opens up to the north, affording a view looking out onto Split and the Dalmatian coast.
If If you climb up the narrow path through olive groves, you will reach the Roman quarries where blocks of white marble were extracted for
