Island Krk – pearl of the Croatian Adriatic Sea

The second largest island of the Adriatic Sea is located in the Kvaerner bay. Through a – for that time unique – bridge construction the island is connectet to the Croatian mainland since 1980. The geographical advantageous location is bringing a mediterrenian climate to the island. For everyone who is fond of travelling and starting in Europe it is advantageous to use your own car due to the relatively small distance for your journey to the desired hotel or the comfy vacation flat.

Everyone who wants to have it more comfortable, can arrive by air on the airport of the island, eastern of Omisalj. On the islands there are hotels and vacation flats, which fulfill every requirement. A superb infrastructure enables the adventurous tourists to become acquianted with the all parts of the island.

There is a plurality of possibilities to spend the most beautiful day of the year. For example the island of Krk is inviting for an excellent walk.Not only the interior is inviting, but also the countless sandy and shingle beaches of the island. People fonds of diving can find a centre for water sport activities with first-class diving instructors and the therefore required equipment nearly in every community. 

Furthermore Krk is offering itself as starting location for the so called island hopping. After all there is a fine choice of further Croation islands of the Adriatic Sea.  Regardless if you are travelling with a package tour or making an island hopping, Krk is always worth a trip.
