India – a huge country with countless opportunities

Holiday in India – this is always also a bit like being in the 1001 Arabian nights. Gorgeous palaces in front of a fairytale scenery, wonderful and exotis smelling spices, brightly tinted lustrous silk clothes. But holiday in India can also be the opposite: Hiking or trekking tours especially in the Northern part of the country in or at the impressive Himalaya. Impressive scenery, partly untouched by the civilization. Or the tourist magnet Goa in the West of India. There are miles long beaches with finest-grained sand, an almost overwhelming range of water sports activities and naturally hotels which didn´t leave any wish unfulfilled.

This is due to the fact that the people of India are especially cordial hosts. Thus the hotels in India impress with a despite all exotics thus familiar ambiance where every holidaymaker is able to feel well immediately. And this is indeed true for hotels of all classifications.

Who is spending the holiday in India should however also visit some of the lively cities with each more than 1,000,000 people. Kolkatta perhaps is among the largest ones.  Here you will also see the opposite part of the otherweise such shining India: flurry of activity, overpopulation, also poverty, but however even here an overwhelming friendliness. Additionally Kolkatta is home for the most important museums.

The largest city in India is certainly Mumbay with after all 13,000,000 inhabitants. It is at the same time the economic heart of the country. The by far most often visited building is meanwhile the Taj Mahal in Agra.
