Hanalei – A visit on the eldest island of Hawaii

Hanalei is a small community in the north of the island of Kauai. This archipelago is belonging to the string of islands of Hawaii, which is situated in the Pacific Ocean. Since 1959 Hawaii is the 50th county of the United States of America. Kauai is with its well as six million years maybe the oldest of the many islands of Hawaii.

The tourism hasn't took possession in such an intense way like on Maui or Bid Island. The visitor is awaited by a fine choice of fancy hotels, motels or comfy vacation flats. The specific of Kauai is their scenic diversity.

Lush green mountain sides are alternated by rushing  waterfalls and cliffy rock coastal which remind  of the film Jurassic Park which was produced by Steven Spielberg and photographed here. Highest elevation of the island is the 1,569 meter high Wai’ale’ale, which is a perfect  view point.

A vacation flat, a motel or a hotel near Hanalai gives the visitor finally the possibility to let the soul dangle at the beautiful beaches of the island. Who is tired of that, can experience the island – the best way is on one's own initiative- with an American rental car.

After all there is a good infrastructure on the archipelago, which is enabling the Tourist,  to find fastly from one beautiful bay to the next.
