Hamburg, Old Town – The heart of the Hanseatic city

In the middle of the heart of the Free and Hanseatic city Hamburg the only 2.4 square kilometres district “Hamburg-Altstadt” is located. Within and beyond this small zone you find exclusive hotels, pensions and attractive holiday apartments of every taste. In the Old Town of Hamburg you find so many places of interest that this part of town even justifies a visit.

A walk through the old quarter permits glances at wonderful clinker buildings, churches and even a ruin. There, it concerns the rests of the “Nikolaikirche” which was destroyed in the Second World War. Only the tower of this building has been preserved and still today rise into the direction of the sky of Hamburg.

The Old Town of Hamburg always appears as a promenade with world-wide reputation. In the nice streets of houses a lot of possibilities of being subject to your shopping desires are found.
