Gdansk – ancient city at the Polish Baltic Sea coastline

Gdanks, formerly named Danzig, is nowadays a town that is administerred as a town and a district by its own administration with not less than 460,000 inhabitants. This leads along the picturesque Baltic sea coastline and proceeds through Gdansk. Everyone who wants to have a look on the city not only from the hotel or vacation flat, is good adviced making a walk through the restored city centre. After the 2nd World War has destroyed a lion´s share of the city it was restored lovingly.

The richly ornamented middle-class houses sprinkle the charme of a long gone-by era. Cozy cafés on the street and small boutiques are a perfect amendment for the picture of the city.
