Escaldes-Engordany – More than skiing

The largest part of the tourists will undoubtedly travel to Andorra due to the magnificent snow-pack of the Pyrenees but the princedom is much more than only a ski area. Therefore the best example is Escaldes-Engordany.

Cliffy mountain ranges, deep canyons and ample forests offer a fascinating panorama and attract uncounted hikers and nature lovers to the region. The Engolasters-barrier lake is he largest lake of the country and fulfills every wish both for anglers as well as hikers. Also the churches Sant Miquel d’Engolasters from the 12th century as well as Sant Romà dels Vilars are worth of a visit.

When finally the night begins in Escaldes-Engordany, it is the best to stop for a bite to eat in one of the Andorrenean restaurants and to be pampered by the traditional cuisine. So every leave day will be a completely successful day.
