El Gouna – a young city in traditional style

Everyone hearing the name Red Sea inevitably thinks about the buzzling major city Hurghada. Obviousely like the Egyptian Samih Sawiris who build a single hotel amidst the desert approximately 20 kilometers to the North – the foundation stone for a new tourism centre was laid. Meanwhile El Gouna has grown to be a considerable tiny city with at least 14 different hotels, which – a cute idea – are all connected with each other by pedestrian bridges.

But El Gouna has much more to offer than only excellent hotels. Indeed the tiny city has been constructed using the traditional Egyptian building technique however it offers up-to-date comfort complying with European standard.

There are even several marinas where the rich can berth with their boats and yachts.
Red Sea also means diving in El Gouna. Therefore several perfectly equipped dive centers. However El Gouna is also an outstanding spot for the young trend sports kite surfing due to its steadily and nearly constant wind.

Naturally a holiday destination is not really great without possibilities for entertainment. However the hotels of El Gouna are offering superb dish, however there are unbelievable many restaurants, bars etc.  in the tiny city, which indeed leave no wish unfulfilled.
