Eifel – not only a German low mountain range

It comes to the fore at the Eifel what the nature of the human awarding of the today's political borders believes. This does not keep to boundary stones and political gates. The Eifel reaches Belgium and Luxembourg in the west of Germany as well as in the east of our neighbouring countries. On account of its magnitudes and many cities, as well as villages and municipalities endless accommodation possibilities are found here apparently.

Many locals have used the advantages of their homeland to integrate small holiday apartments in their houses. However, of course also comfortable pensions and hotels which leave nothing to be desired and guarantee even for the ambitious visitor pure luxury. Beside the many towns particularly the Eifel offers quite a big attraction, its nature.

Because of its immense magnitudes the low mountain range was split into cultural-historical and respectively physical-historical regions. Among them you find names like Vulkaneifel, Aachener Huegelland, Drachenfelser Laendchen, Moselberge or Belgian Eifel.

With 747 metres the mountain "Hohe Acht" reaches its title as the highest mountain of the whole Eifel. Although many of its "antagonists" reach a height of more than 600 metres, the Hohe Acht is, nevertheless, the only mountain which crosses the borderline of 700 metres.

A cogent reason to use your holiday apartment or the hotel in the Eifel is to visit the German Vulkanstrasse (street of vulcan) which exists since 2006 and spans more than 280 kilometres and 39 locations.
