Denver, Colorado

 

The city of Denver lies in the middle of the heart of the USA in the State of Colorado, and with its population of 550,000 can surely be called a big city. Denver is known by many people inside but also outside of the USA, especially because of its airport, which, after all, is the largest in the USA and has connections to all parts of the USA. 

For many Americans, this is and will always be a symbol of the gold digging times in the USA and especially here in Colorado. Today, many mining companies are, of course, still stationed in Denver since the Rocky Mountains are close by. They are also a good reason for tourists to decide to take their vacation in Denver.

There are four large national parks in Colorado and Denver is located relatively central to all of them. Therefore it is ideal to book a hotel or pension here and not only to explore Colorado’s outdoors but also to experience life in a large American city. 

A visit to this region of the USA should be planned well in consideration of the region’s climate; after all even in summer there can be a temperature difference of up to 20 degrees Celsius between day and night, Denver itself lies exactly one mile above sea level.
