Dalmatia - Croatia's beautiful region

Dalmatia is the southernmost coastal region of Croatia. It is delimited by the island of Rab, the bay of Kotor and parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The country of the region is characterised by pristine nature with rough mountains, numerous rivers and small, quiet villages.
One of the most diversified and interesting landscapes is to be found in the national park Krk. Here, active tourists will find many possibilities for climbing, hiking, cycling or rafting and accommodation in holiday homes which are characteristic of the country.

Dalmatia´s biggest and most important cities are Dubrovnik, Split and Zadar. Beautiful city centres, museums and unique buildings – important churches or other buildings like the Diocletion’s Palace – belong to the world cultural heritage and attract visitors from all over the world.

Off Dalmatia´s shore, there are many enchanting islands. The most-visited islands are Brac, Pag, Dugi-Otok or the island Ciovo, which is connected with the town Trogir by a bridge. The sea park of Kornaten is considered as a popular sailing area.

The sunny coast with its many bays attracts many seaside holidaymakers due to its beautiful sandy beaches, flavoursome pine woods and clear, turquoise water. In the densely populated region, there are many lively bathing resorts with hotels, restaurants and excellent cultural offers.

During a holiday in Dalmatia, the cordial and open-minded hosts leave a particularly impressing mark.
