Costa Rei, Sardinia – holiday fun for everyone

Costa Rei is a coastal area of the Italian Mediterranean island Sardinia. After Sicily it is the second largest island in the Mediterranean Sea and is with its offshore islands an autonomous region of Italy. Year after year approx. 20,000 vacationers spend their holiday in a holiday apartment, a summer cottage or a hotel at Costa Rei. Many of them return over and over again.

With more than 12-kilometre lengths of the edge Costa Rei owns one of the nicest beach segments of Sardinia. Beaches which offers almost white sand alternate with a chain of lagoons and beguile the visitors with unmatchable sceneries. The beaches of the Costa Rei are limited by the 300-metre-high Monte Ferru in the north and the 336-metre-high Monte Macioni in the south.

The freely accessible beaches of this coast run shallowly into the water of the Mediterranean Sea and are not only a true paradise for children. In summer different activities as a contrast programme to beach and sea are offered.

Several diving schools are found in this region and advance the customers with professional equipment to the nice underwater world of their coasts. There is also the possibility to call on one of the many riding courts near the holiday apartment, the flat or the hotel and to undertake a romantic ride along the paradisiacal beaches.
