Connecticut, sometimes called the "Provision State" in the USA, provides a wide variety of cultural offers in the middle of its beautiful landscapes. But this State also offers nature friends and bathers attractive possibilities.

Connecticut has a share of the Appalachian Mountains, a range which stretches across the Northeast of the USA. The famous Appalachian Trail leads through Connecticut and passes by some natural parks well worth seeing, for example the Danbury Candlewood Park, the Bear Mountain Reservation or Kent State Park.

The city of Milford, located on the Long Island Sound, has five lovely, sandy beaches and many of New York’s wealthy residents have their boats stationed in the yacht harbor there. 

In New Haven you can admire an original copy of the Gutenberg Bible, but other museums there will also intrigue you with their exhibitions.

The well appointed hotels and motels, as well as the friendly and open way of the inhabitants are also a reason to let yourself be captured by the charm of this spot. An often favorably priced alternative to a hotel room is a bed & breakfast, a vacation apartment or house. These are often rented out by private persons and it could happen that a friendship will evolve from an initial business relationship.
