Colorado is one of the mountain States of the USA, which is located in the western and central part of the country. The State is divided into the Southern Rocky Mountains, the large grassy plains, lakes and forests.
About 4.8 million people live in Colorado, about half of them in Denver. Colorado Springs is the second largest city of the State with more than 370,000 residents. 

Colorado’s largest tourist feature is its unbelievably beautiful nature, which is protected in four large national parks and 17 national monuments and forests.

The landscapes and attractions include 54 mountains up to 2400 meters high, the dunes in the “Great Sand Dunes” National Park, the Black Canyon whose deep gorges let no light in, the large rivers and more than 2000 lakes and the archeological sites like Mesa Verde with its stone houses. 

A summer round trip with stations in hotels and motels and short stops on a ranch, at a golf resort or in a small town makes the Colorado experience complete.

In winter the State turns into a Mecca for skiers and snowboarders. Vacation houses and apartments, exclusive chalets and hotels are available to snow-loving tourists in 30 skiing regions, such as glamorous Aspen, Vail Mountain or in Wolf Creek.
